Role overview
This role functions as member of a team which provides specialist support to a range of plant based radiometric instruments. The role may also include carrying out radiometric measurements and surveys using instrument systems and/or VT Nuclear Services Products.
Main responsibilities
- Provide a breakdown service for a range of radiometric instruments.
- Conduct routine maintenance on a range of radiometric instruments.
- Carry out radiometric measurement surveys e.g. on plant, equipment, waste materials.
- Perform all tasks within defined timescales and in accordance with Quality Management standards.
- Be compliant with Local Rules and Safety Systems of Work (SSOW).
- Provide accurate records of all work carried out.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified to minimum HNC Level or equivalent in physics, electronic engineering or related discipline.
- Knowledge of nuclear instrumentation or radiometric physics.
- 3 years experience working with or developing electronic instrumentation.
