VT Nuclear Services begins Slovakian project
VT Nuclear Services has started work on its first major project in Slovakia in a consortium which includes DECOM a.s. and Slovakia’s largest nuclear contractor VUJE a.s. who will also lead the consortium.
The €3M project is part of the Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF) programme, which is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD), who also support similar decommissioning projects in Bulgaria and Lithuania where VT Nuclear Services are also delivering major decommissioning projects. The project is scheduled for completion in 2010 and is an important milestone in the early phase of the site’s decommissioning.
The consortium will be responsible for preparation and delivery of the First Stage Decommissioning Plan for the Bohunice V1 plant with the work being undertaken both in Slovakia and at VT Nuclear’s UK Offices.
